I have seen many caves in China but the most impressed cave in my mind is HuangLong Cave in ZhangJia jie.In English,HuangLong Cave can be translated to Yellow Dragon Cave.Through this name, we can imagine how spectacular this cave is.
HuangLong Cave is located in the east of Suoxiyu Valley. It is an underground magic palace. In the cave, the path is zigzag. Stone shoots, stone stalactites, stone curtains, stone pianos, and stone flowers can be founded there. Before, I didn't know the formation of these spectacular landscape.Last week in geography class,we learned about karst landscape and I knew how this cave was formed. As the surface waters diappear underground ,limestone is dissolved and carried along in solution. Dripping water from the cave ceilings falls to the floor of the cave and here some of the limestone is deposited to creat a growing mound of deposit. And this deposite is called a stalagmite. Some similar feature is formed on the roof of the cave at the point where the water drips. And these hanging deposits are called stalactites. In the cave ,we can see pillars and this is fromed when the stalagmites and stalactites join together.
With the decoration of neon lights, the cave looks more atractive. When I wandered around here, I felt lost. The only thingI wanted to say when I walked out of the cave was " Nature is such a great artist!"
